All our modes of consumption have been shaken up by today’s alarming political, economic and environmental context.
Two attitudes have emerged in response. Though radically opposed to each other, they both stem from the same determination to be rooted again.
To be rooted in everyday living or in deep-seated myths:
- In the first approach, we focus on function and pragmatism, either in a sustainable, fun aesthetic (EASY GOING), or in innovative, sensorial minimalism (HIGH FUNCTION).
- In the second approach, we take a step back to search for an escape, either in a soft, melancholic, fanciful version of Nature (IDYLLIC), or in the mysteries of a new, dark, shadowy glamour (MAGNETIC).
