WOMEN’S FASHION UPDATE TREND BOOK

SUMMER 2012

Digital product (download)

Mississipi gives guidelines on how to mix the trousseau this season.  We love the delicacy and refinement of embroidery and lace which is given a twist with workwear, denim and more masculine pieces, for everyday wear.  The general attitude is pastoral and easy.

The Summer Couture story combines the idea of a formal wardrobe with a fresh and stylish vibe.  It is the follow-up to winter’s preppy spirit with a mini suit, spots and clean shapes, with photoprint additions for a playful touch.

Post Grunge is the most underground-influenced story of the season, led by a return to the 90's and grunge.  It focuses on prints and screen prints as well as on new strong pieces like the blouson jacket.

Boca Chica outlines a new folklore that mixes Mexican and 50’s rock influences.  The look is glam and the decoration very graphic, it is a good way to liven up high summer.

North Sea takes advantage of the return of classic style in lots of the fashion shows and offers a pared-down and chic wardrobe that retains softness and femininity.  The color range treatment is very important with a mix of cosmetic neturals and sophisticated half-tones.

Opium is the dressy story of this issue.  It focuses on the idea of sophisticated beachwear since all the models are presented with swimsuits.  It provides a follow-up to the oriental influences of past seasons by taking inspiration from the Far East.
