The denim trade fair left Paris and moved on to Barcelona.
An edition where the season’s theme was “games” with a playful, mysterious atmosphere : “Play the Game” where the key words were creativity, taking risks and overturning conventions.
In the forum, a traditional, sophisticated library decor, a clandestine, more boorish, “shady” bar and a casino-cabaret.

4 types of players were shown :
“Flambeur” (High Roller) : a warm, soft, supple dandy style: wools, slightly faded velvets, broken twills, blurred effects, knits with a brushed, fleece look on back
“Expert” : variations on blues, oversized clothes in lightly-faded rough denim, blue-black twills, recolored selvages. Thick, bonded or quilted canvases.
“Provocateur” : A more enigmatic theme with disguised weaves and secret pockets. Double-faced fabrics marked by laser or glazings and coatings of strange “greases”.
“Agile” : he plays up light in compact, dazzling fabrics that are sometimes glazed, plastified or laquered. Sculpting, comfortable stretch fabrics are accessorized with metallic dots or flashes that resemble precious stones. Motifs are inspired by card games with printed or woven numbers.

A coated “quilting” that puffs up when washed.
Comfortable stretch denim without polyester (99co/1ea).
“Suave”, an ultra-soft denim in a cotton, Tencel, elastane blend.

- At TAVEX :
The Tri-blend continues (cotton, Lycra, Lycra T400).
In the Denim Therapy line, the novelty “svelt” : a fabric with cosmetic properties that, when in contact with the skin improves cellulite effects, stimulates circulation, helps eliminate toxins, firms and softens the skin.

New vintage : insular, breathable Thermolite denims from shirtings to very light weights.
“Phantom denim”, a capsule collection that uses a special dyeing technique which emphasizes worn or bleached effects.

- At CALIK :
Lots of stretch for very comfortable men’s denim.
Still a few black-on-black effects.
Woven Modal.
A sculpting denim.
Denim in Crailar, a new, ecological linen fiber.

The fair was very successful, there 45% more visitors than in May 2013.
